Server Fish-net.ru was made in July 1999 for settling the following tasks:

• making up normal and civilized relations in Russian fishing industry;

• providing wide access to various information about fishing industry, including various kinds of knowledge (biology, mechanical engineering, ship-building, information engineering, marketing etc.), that is considered to be the most important condition for making up open society;

• introducing advanced technologies.

To fulfill these tasks, we accumulate knowledge and information about achievements and experience of various countries concerning seafood (fishing, processing, sales, use etc.).

The server was made for those who concerned in receiving reliable and efficient information on fishing. It uses database of DalRybVtuz Fishing University Computer Center (Vladivostok) and contains the great amount of scientific and commercial information.

1. Biology. Full and detailed information about various kinds of fish and their biology, catch volume in different parts of the Pacific Ocean; articles contain photos and diagrams.

2. For Fishermen's Use. Efficient information about fishing resources; fishing equipment; history of various fisheries; reference books and specifications.

3. Computer Software and Information Processing. Software for economical analysis and forecasting of fishing, for efficient adjustment of fishing equipment.

4. Market. Analyzing various markets, prices and sales; forecasting; offering purchase and sale.

5. Exhibitions. Exhibitions concerning fishery all over the world.

The server is constantly being filled up with new information including scientific articles.

Dear friends, As far as you can see, we intend to do the great and serious work on long-term basis. Our new site has already gathered many enthusiastic and like-minded persons around, but we do realize that our project can be successful if only it obtains the great attention and support from many more people all over the world who decide to join us.
